Welcome!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Gallup Social Work Blog/E-portfolio!

A physical learning portfolio.   Similar to this e-portfolio, my philosophy is that to have an authentic learning experience, we have to make a portfolio our own.  I began this e-portfolio at the start of my journey through the University of Calgary to complement the learning portfolios that are required of Registered Social Workers.

This is my personal learning space for the Bachelors of Social Work program.  This site is divided into sections that outline components of the key learnings and reflective process while attending the University of Calgary Learning Circles program.

At the top of this website are several tabs that can be used to navigate the website.  Each page contains elements of my e-portfolio. The “blog” section is an area where I can make notes on learnings and formulate reflections on key concepts that are relevant to my practice.  As I carry out continuing education or read new materials that I would like to integrate into social work practice, I will add new information to the “blog” section.  A professional resume can be externally found on my LinkedIn page here.  The appendices includes some copies of certification documents that are listed on my LinkedIn page.

Feel free to browse and comment on the materials and posts in the blog section of my learning journey.  If you are a student at the University of Calgary, you can create a blog here.  I am open to discussing concepts and ideas that I write about in the blog.  Feel free to follow my blog and exchange ideas!
